Epitalon Rx

Compounded, not FDA-approved

Almost everything known about epitalon comes from the laboratory that invented it

Of the 167 papers indexed on this peptide, 111 carry Vladimir Khavinson or Vladimir Anisimov as an author or name the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. That is 66.5 percent, and Khavinson alone is on 100 of them. It is not a conspiracy and it is not a smear: that institute created the compound and has published on it for four decades. It does mean the test medicine actually applies, someone with no stake in the answer getting the same result, has been applied here only recently and only in cells. The mortality figures everyone quotes are about Epithalamin, a pineal extract, not the tetrapeptide in the vial. Zero records in the epitalon literature carry a randomized-trial tag; the extract's literature has five. In July 2026 FDA proposed that epitalon not even be allowed into compounded drugs. Every row in our evidence table is labeled by species and by who ran it.

  • 66.5percent of the indexed literature comes from the research network that created epitalon
  • 167papers indexed on this peptide in Europe PMC
  • 0carry a randomized-controlled-trial tag, against 5 in the literature on the pineal extract it is confused with
  • 32rows in our evidence table, each labeled by species and by provenance, including 5 documented absences
  • 0studies from any laboratory outside that network in which epitalon was given to a person
  • 45fetch-verified citations, 86.7 percent of them peer-reviewed or government sources
